Right off the bat, it's clear that Linstead and Gunn are on the same page musically; both have tropical and Spanish influences in their music, and both are known for music that relies on memorable, rhythm-enhanced melodies. As such, songs like "Magic City" and "Rhyme of the Ancient Forest" sparkle with upbeat energy, driving tempos and an exotic vibe. Linstead's guitarwork is strong throughout, especially on "Santo Domingo," where he takes the lead on a propulsive journey through the Caribbean.
