“Barefoot” is a collection of world and musical flavors that blend with strong, emotional melodies. As Acoustic Eidolon, Joe Scott & Hannah Alkire have combined their musical talents to create an exciting new acoustic instrumental sound. Joe, a former Wind Machine member, plays an instrument he invented: the double-neck guitjo, a custom acoustic guitar with two necks, built exclusively for him. This one-of-a-kind instrument has incredible range and tonal qualities, sounding at times like a piano, dulcimer or beautiful harp. Combine that with Hannah's stunning tone and impeccable cello-playing, and you have the ingredients for some very moving music. This CD draws influence from Australia, Hawaii, gypsy dances and as always, has Celtic flavors. Acoustic Eidolon’s sixth CD features 9 instrumentals and 5 vocals, with cuts that range from Cris Williamson to Chopin to original pieces. |
